Blue spectrum of HD126587

The absorption lines of the elements hydrogen, barium, neodymium and strontium are labelled on this section of the spectrum of star HD126587. The picture covers the range from 4066 angstroms (top left) to 4710 angstroms (bottom right), which is clearly all in the blue part of the spectrum. This image is described in more detail in the accompanying press release), discussing results pertaining to galaxy-wide element formation.
