Gemini North Above the Clouds

Gemini North telescope, half of the International Gemini Observatory, is busy slewing to various points in the sky so that it can observe its astronomical targets. Perched near the summit of Maunakea in Hawai‘i, this telescope is higher than the rolling blanket of clouds.
