Dear colleagues,


this is the second announcement for Star Clusters 2020,  a small conference aimed at all astronomers working on star clusters and related fields, with a special emphasis on those working in Chile. Deadline for registration, abstract submission and request for funding is November 15th. Registration can be done through a Google form placed here: https://www.gemini.edu/clusters2020/registration/


Financial support: There are limited funds to support attendance. Support will be in the form of accommodation. Priority will be given to graduate students.

Important dates: November 15 – Deadline for registration, abstract submission, and funding requests (Extended to December 1st!)
December 15 – Program and grants are announced
March 9 to 11 – Star clusters 2020 Meeting. We expect to start at 2pm on Monday 9th, and finish about the same time on Wed 11th

STAR CLUSTERS 2020: Star clusters and their role in the build-up of galaxies
La Serena, March 9-11, 2020

Dear colleagues,

it is our pleasure to announce Star clusters 2020. 
As the birth place of perhaps most of the stars, star clusters offer an incredible testbed for theories of star formation, stellar structure, stellar populations, stellar dynamics and much more, including theories of galaxy formation. This small conference is open to all astronomers working on star clusters and related fields, with a special emphasis on those working in Chile.

There will be no conference fee

Venue:
Preliminary, the venue has been defined as a new conference room at the CTIO premises in the AURA Recinto in La Serena. Further information will be given future announcements.
